Each piece of wood is unique and has a story to tell. Sometimes we hear the story quickly and sometimes slowly.
When we discover a piece of wood that piques our interest we often study it for hours before we make the first cut. Sometimes the piece goes back on the shelf several times before we feel that the wood has told us what it wants us to do. Only when we feel at one with the wood do we begin to carve. Even then, we usually pause for hours or days until the wood has told us what to do next.
Our next phase will be to incorporate other media into the vessels. We have begun experimenting with metal, glass, bronze and paper and we are excited about where the mix of media will lead us. This process may take months or years. We will post any successes on the web site so keep coming back.
